Minimum system requirements for iRecruitment

In order to utilize OSCE’s iRecruitment application to search for, register and apply for a vacancy online, you should:

1. Ensure SSL.2.0 is enabled

2. Disable Pop-up blockers

3. Disable script debugging

4. Enable Active, paste operations and Java scripting

5. Ensure cookies are accepted

Optional Steps to ensure correct data and pages are shown:

6. Set internet explorer to refresh web pages

7. Clear temporary internet files and cookies

Ensure SSL 2.0 is enabled

Ensure that Use SSL 2.0 (Secure Sockets Layer) is enabled under your internet settings as this is required in order for iRecruitment to open (load) in your internet browser. This only needs to be verified if OSCE iRecruitment homepage does not appear after clicking on the link https://employment.osce.org/OA_HTML/IrcVisitor.jsp the page tries to load the website but nothing appears:

To verify this in Internet Explorer, navigate to the menu bar option Tools è Internet Options è Advanced Tab:

If not, tick the option and click OK to save.

Disable Pop-up blockers

Ensure your have disabled all pop-up blockers which may prevent OSCE iRecruitment web pages from launching. Go to your pop-up blocker settings to disable the tool while you are using OSCE iRecruitment.

To verify this in Internet Explorer, navigate to the menu bar option Tools è Pop-up Blocker:

Disable script debugging

Ensure your internet browser is set to disable script debugging.

To verify this in Internet Explorer, navigate to the menu bar option Tools è Internet Options è Advanced Tab:

If not, tick the option and click OK to save.

Enable Active, paste operations and Java scripting

Ensure your internet browser is set to “Enable” for Active scripting, Allow paste operations via script and Scripting of Java Applets.

To verify this in Internet Explorer, navigate to the menu bar option Tools è Internet Options è Advanced Tab:

If one or more are not enabled, tick enable for the options and click OK to save.

Ensure cookies are accepted

Ensure your internet browser is set to either Accept cookies automatically or to prompt you for acceptance of a cookie.

To verify this in Internet Explorer, navigate to the menu bar option Tools è Internet Options è Privacy Tab:

Select the Advanced button:

Set these to either Accept or Prompt. Click OK to save the settings.

Optional Steps to ensure correct data and pages are shown

Set internet explorer to refresh webpage’s

Ensure your internet browser is set to refresh webpage’s in order to check for newer versions of visited pages.

Clear temporary internet files and cookies

Ensure that the temporary internet files and cookies have been cleared to reduce old data appearing.

To verify this in Internet Explorer, navigate to the menu bar option Tools è Internet Options è General Tab:

Delete Temporary internet files

Navigate to the Temporary Internet Files section and click on the delete files button

Check the check box for Delete all offline content

Click OK to confirm

Delete Cookies

Navigate to the Temporary Internet Files section and click on the delete cookies button

Click OK to confirm
